Scott Sabella, PhD is currently an assistant professor of rehabilitation counseling at the University of Buffalo. He served as the Director of TACE Region 8 and the Region VIII RCEP for seven years, administering scores of technical assistance and training projects tailored to specific regional and individual state vocational rehabilitation agency needs. He has extensive experience working closely with state VR agency administrators; assessing performance, personnel, and systems needs within these agencies; analyzing state agency reporting data for trends and consequential differences across agencies; and developing TA and training responses to identified needs. Sabella has researched and authored materials related to program evaluation and quality assurance, professional development, leadership and supervision, executive functioning, transportation barriers for people with disabilities, and brain injury rehabilitation. Sabella was instrumental in the Summit Group Community of Practice, hosted by the NCRTM under a previous grant. He continues to serve as a research consultant and advisor on grant awards from the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) and the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR).
